Amtrak recently took delivery of a new Badger 1085R rubber tired excavator.

It was delivered to Niles, MI on 6-22-09

 

Badger's 1085R has the ability to:

  • Ditch with up and down movement
  • Extend and re-track the boom for easier ditching (featured extendahoe)
  • Move the bucket side-to-side for easier ditching (featured wrist-o-twist)
  • Mag material
  • Lay or remove welded rail
  • Handle jointed rail
  • Plow snow or material
  • Brush cut
  • Use a majority or hydraulic tools:
  • Hydraulic Bucket
  • Hydraulic Cribbing Bucket
  • Hydraulic Grapple
  • Hydraulic Tools
